How To Make Shoe Cupcakes!
With the help of my super talented and artistic cousin Mona, we have put together a tutorial on how to make your very own shoe cupcakes! It was a lot of fun decorating and the finished product was super cute and sassy. And ooh weeee I loveeeee my ShoeQUEENDOM cupcake!! Can ya tell? Haha.
INGREDIENTS:
- Baked cupcakes of your choice
- Pirouette cookies
- Milano cookies
- Royal Icing
- Sharp knife
- Wax Paper or foil
- Edible decorating items of your choice such as fondant, candy, and icing.
STEP 1 ::
Using your sharp knife, cut the pirouette cookies at about 2.5 inches, and at a 90 degree angle. You may have to do a fast cut, or go really slowly to get the straight edge. Just experiment, whatever doesn't come out at a straight 90 degree angle, you can just eat :)
STEP 2 ::
Using the royal icing, glue your cut pirouette cookie to the wax paper or foil to be secure, with the slanted edge facing forward.
(Tip- Put your royal icing in a ziplock bag and cut the tip for precise "glueing")
STEP 3 ::
Position your cupcake 2 inches from the pirouette cookie, and glue the milano cookie between the two as shown below.
STEP 4 ::
Let the icing dry, and start decorating! If you'd like, you can remove the paper cupcake wrapping and even shape the cupcake (check out the "Couture" cupcake Mona made below). Have fun with it and be as creative as you like! Check the designs we made..
STEP 5 ::
Enjoy your shoe cupcakes!
