Brand New Nike Wedge Style - The Air Revolution is OUT!!!
Earlier this year, I got wind of a new style of Nike wedges and I went pretty gaga, the Air Revolution Sky Hi. If you recall I mentioned what a milestone I thought it was that the sneaker wedge industry was blowing up, especially with a Nike basketball shoe from the 80's. Definitely a substantial step forward for sneaker footwear companies to recognize the female movement and pay more attention. I tried my best to get information on them with no luck. I was even denied from posting any information about them! They were definitely on the hush in a major way. So imagine my surprise when I made a quick stop into the London Flagship TopShop store and saw them staring at me from across the room. I gotta say I was in shock. The sales lady was looking at me and asked if I'd like to try them on and I didn't answer. All I remember is asking when they came out and she told me on that same day! Just absolutely stunned. The shoe gods must be with me, hahaaaaaaaa!
Shock aside, I tried them on. They felt bulky, and a little like it would take time to get them to soften up while walking. They also felt like they have a small platform (at the front of the shoe), as opposed to the Dunk Sky Hi's that have no platform and only the wedge.
The only color way available was the one after the original model, which looks dated but is also what adds to the true charm of the kicks. I can't wait until the other color ways come out though, check them out here.
And then thanks to an awesome fan of ShoeQUEENDOM, Marine, I was informed of a European site that is selling the Revolutions online, and with an extra color way. Check out La Galerie Concept and the Revolution black color way here.
The kicks are retailing for €140 which is just about $180 US. Pretty steep price tag if you ask me. But I would definitely want to have at least one pair.
Hell yea!! xx
