Splits59 Totally Amped This Workout Inspired #SqshoeSwap!
Sometimes, it's so hard to convince myself to get my workout in and I'm sure many can relate. With our busy work days and always being on the go, it's easy for us girls to use 1,000 different beauty-related excuses to flake (eh-hem, I have to wash my hair, lol). So what I do sometimes is wear lifestyle workout clothing with heels to dress it up for the work day, and then I just change into sneakers later and I'm off on a run or hike! No excuses available, WOO!
For this #SQshoeSwap, I did just that. I was turned on to this sportswear brand called Splits59, an activewear line inspired by the beauty of sport. I wore a simple, soft grey tank that hugged my body really nicely and layered it with their bright yellow V-neck pullover that's thin with a loose fit. The lines and cutouts in the back provided a chic feel, and I liked the peek a boo effect with the gray. My favorite part was the tights! The clean, patent, snake skin pattern along the sides glimmers in the sunshine and is such a sleek look. Not to mention the great fit! Definitely loving Splits59, glad I can take part in their beauty! :)
So, for my freelancing gigs during the day I paired the Splits59 outfit with a pair of Jeffrey Campbell star studded ankle boots. Simple leather boots with pizzaz! The stars are fun and casual, but the stiletto heel adds the hot factor in contrast to the tough boots. You can't even tell I'm in a workout outfit! I love it!
It's so easy to wear black heels or booties, of course, because they match with everything. But it's the simple details that have a large effect. Here are some awesomely fun black booties with that pizazz below!
For my run, I switched into a new running shoe by a brand called Skora. The pair I'm wearing is called the "Phase-X" and I was surprised to learn some cool things about the shoe:
- The ENTIRE shoe reflects! (Even the laces!)
- Open weave (breathable)
- Very flexible and lightweight
- Asymmetrical lacing, no tongue
- Injected Blown Rubber outsole
The shoes didn't disappoint. If you like the barefoot kind of feel when working out, these shoes are awesome. Plus, I love the colors and endless details. Some favorite Skora color ways of mine below :)
